Wu’er Kaixi, one of the most recognised student leaders of the 1989 protests in Beijing’s Tianamen Square, will appear tomorrow night (23rd Feb 2011) in an interview with Mandarin News Australia. In the midst of the current anti-government protests across North Africa and the Middle East, Mandarin News Australia host Zhou Li talks to Wu’er Kaixi about the pro-democracy protests and how they are reminiscent of the 1989 demonstrations in Tiananmen Square.
The interview airs tomorrow night on Mandarin News Australia at 5.30pm on SBS TWO, and the program will be repeated at 6.35am Sunday on SBS ONE.
